Timothy Madhukar
Timothy Madhukar is a vocalist, keyboardist, and producer of music. He has composed advertising jingles and produced music for over 1000 television and radio commercials for such brands as Flipkart, Amul, Arun Ice Creams, MRF, TI Cycles, Tanishq, Caratlane, Dabur, Swiggy, PayTm, Ford, Toyota, TVS Apache, Britannia, and Parle. He scored the music for the animation series Sindbad and the 7 Galaxies and composed the music for the animated movie, The Wish Fish, the score of which was played by the Bulgarian Symphony Orchestra. He has been responsible for producing music for locally produced musicals such as The Lion King, ABBA, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Shrek. He has also played the lead role in such musically themed performances as Pink (the music of Pink Floyd) and Queen.
Rated by the rock group Shiva as one of the finest voices in India during the 1990s, Timothy has fronted the rock groups ‘Burn’, ‘Roxygen,’ and ‘7even’. He has sung for all the leading music directors in Chennai, including A. R. Rahman, Ilaiyaraja, and Harris Jeyaraj, apart from dabbling in film music. Having completed Grade 8 of the Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music, London, in Western Classical Singing, he has also played the keyboard and provided backing vocals for the rock group ‘Moksha.’
John Mathew
John Mathew, who hails from Trivandrum, Kerala, is an Associate Professor at Krea University, where he chairs the Division of the Humanities and the Social Sciences, and leads courses in the Biological Sciences, Environmental Studies, and History. He holds doctoral degrees in the Ecological Sciences from Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Virginia, and the History of Science from Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts. John completed his Bachelors, Masters and M.Phil in Zoology at the Madras Christian College, Madras/Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He also holds a Master’s degree in Medical Anthropology from Harvard. He has taught at Harvard University, the University of Massachusetts, Boston, Duke University, Durham, North Carolina, and the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Pune, India. Apart from his scholastic work, he works on campus with the university choir, which he helped to found, as well as with theatrical productions.”
